Given the current challenging environment we all find ourselves in and that many Australians have moved to remote working, Class would like to take a moment to update you on our latest data security compliance and to reassure our customers that your data is safe with us.
Class is dedicated to the security of our data and adopting internationally recognised best practices. To demonstrate our strong cyber resilience and emphasise our commitment to protecting information, we are pleased to announce that Class has recently attained ISO 27001 certification.
The ISO 27001 Information Security Management System Standard enables Class to align with global best-practice for information security management. This certification applies to the entire organisation, not just our products. Class was independently assessed against the ISO 27001 standard in terms of our approach, maturity, capability and functionality. During the audit process, Class successfully evidenced:
- Reliable and secure systems and information;
- A focus on the customer, stakeholder and business partner confidence and requirements;
- Robust business resilience; and
- Management processes integrated with corporate risk strategies.
This recognition exhibits that Class has implemented strong and practical systems to assist with the management of information security and focuses on preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
To implement our ISO27001 ISMS, Class adopted all 114 recommended controls for the entire organisation and products. This aligns with our commitment to continually apply the best practices across the organisation. We will continue to solidify this approach by bringing NowInfinity into our ISMS scope given the recent acquisition.
We will continue to maintain the assurance engagement (ASAE 3402) over our feeds systems which is vital for SMSF Auditors. The attainment of ISO 27001 certification complements the ASAE 3402 assurance engagement and does not replace it. The ASAE 3402 assurance engagement serves a very specific purpose for SMSF Auditors in fulfilling their obligations under the Australian Auditing Standards while delivering efficiencies in the conduct of their audits.
